If you are a professional gardener or landscaper you can recycle green garden waste at our trade site in Tangmere.
Directions to Tangmere Composting Facility
The Old Airfield, City Fields Way, Tangmere, Chichester PO20 2FT
From Tangmere Roundabout on A27:
- From West (Portsmouth) turn right/last exit
- From East (Brighton) Turn left/1st exit
- Follow road 150m taking first left into Chichester Fields Business Centre.
- Follow road approx 500m over speed bumps, past all business units.
- At signs to ‘Tangmere Airfield Nurseries’ turn left through security gateway (signposted for HGVs).
- Follow road approx 1 mile through two more gateways until you arrive at the site directly ahead.
NB High visibility jackets and safety footwear MUST be worn on site

How Do The Sites Operate?
Our trade site in Tangmere operates as a weighbridge site:
- Drive onto site
- Follow the traffic light system and directions to the weighbridge
- Your vehicle will be weighed as a full load
- Deposit your waste as directed
- Follow the traffic lights and directions back to the weighbridge
- Your vehicle will be weighed as an empty load
- The difference in weight is then calculated to generate the price you pay

| Minimum charge for up to ½ tonne (500kg) | £36.69 plus VAT |
| Thereafter, per tonne | £73.37 plus VAT |
Site Instructions
- Traffic lights must be observed
- Report to the weighbridge upon entering the site
- Site speed limit of 5mph
- PPE must be worn – high visibility clothing and a hard hat
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site
- Food and drink must not be consumed on-site
- No children on site
- No mobile phone use on-site
Waste Carriers Licence
A waste carriers licence will be requested on your first visit to site.
